On Gratitude: 5 things I’m grateful for

Gratitude is a great habit to practice. It’s so easy to forget what keeps us sane in the crazy rush of everyday life. Let’s take a still moment to contemplate about 5 things that you’re grateful for.

Apart from being alive, what do you truly appreciate?

Call me a hippie, but there’s something insanely grounding and peaceful about being surrounded by nature. When you’re a city girl like me, looking up to a blue sky and the lush leaves of the overarching trees is so blissful.

Daily life involves so many connections with people. From talking to a stranger working in record store or café to meeting up with friends, I’m so appreciative of genuine human communication and connection; it’s so inspiring how talking to new people can open you up to being more connected with the world.

Music had a very special place in my heart, I’d even go as far as to say that listening to music is an integral part of my life. From encapsulating emotions to suddenly changing your mood in a matter of seconds of the sound. If you don’t think it’s amazing, I’ll be happy to give you a few recommendations.

I’m so grateful to have such a good level of mental, physical and emotional well-being. I think this is most illuminated when I become temporarily ill with a minor seasonal cold.

I’m so glad that there is always more to do in life; there is always a way for it to get better. This vast potential of growth is so exciting. We’re all constantly in the process of becoming and I’m glad that whilst I’m living I will never just ‘be’. To ‘be’ seems so unexciting, so I’m awfully grateful for the chance to continuously change and grow.
